I have lived in Northville with my family for nine years. My wife Julie and I are raising four kids together, with three in the Northville School District: Waverly, a sophomore and swimmer at Northville High School; Casey, a sixth grader at Hillside Middle School; and Nico, a fourth grader at Amerman Elementary School. Sofia is a graduate of Hillside, now at Mercy, and is a freshman and diver.
I am a scientist at heart and a lawyer by trade. I have a bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Michigan and a law degree from the Michigan State University College of Law. Currently, I am a lawyer for a Fortune 500 corporation based in Michigan, and I have served as a federal prosecutor for the United States Department of Justice in Washington D.C. In law school, I was elected by my peers to serve as the Executive Director of the Moot Court Board for the MSU College of Law.
I've been an active parent, serving as a Board Member and Secretary of the Amerman Dad's Club and was a head coach and assistant coach for more than five years with the Northville Baseball-Softball Association. My family has also been a supporter of the PTA for nearly a decade.
Standing up, rising to the challenge, and fighting for what is right is not only in my DNA, it is what I was trained to do. And now I want to use my energy and experience to advocate for our kids, teachers, families, and community.
